Hip Hop Group Wakadinali Sue Content Creator For Copyright Infringement

Hip Hop group Wakadinali is not impressed by one Brian Mutinda who they report used their song on an ad without inquiring from them. Wakadinali, through their Twitter account on Monday, August 22, claimed that their song Geri Inengi had been used without their consent.

“It is with great sadness that we bring this to the public, our music was been infringed upon by some entities and we tried to resolve it privately but they refused to settle with us,” the group stated.

The group stressed that they had not been approached so that they could provide the song to be used on the advertisement.

Wakadinal, who are featured by SirBwoy on the song, revealed that the song in question needed to be used after the original creators had been sorted.

Brian Mutinda, the content creator behind the video, did not respond to the claims made by the popualr Hip Hop group.

This comes after Mutinda found himself in the same situation after using a song from legendary Genge artist Nonini in another ad. Nonini himself had to confront the company behind the ad but it has not yet been divulged how the whole fiasco unfolded.
