Police in Machakos on Thursday, July, 21, arrested a woman who had allegedly burnt her children’s hands. The woman in question had burned her kids’ hands after she had found them eating sugar.

According to the police, the woman burnt her two kids, 6 and 8 years old, using a hot knife and a piece of nylon paper.

The chief of Kinanie area Josphat Musinga, said that he had received news of the incident when the children were already in school. Confirming the news, he reported that he also saw the children himself.

“We visited the children in school after receiving the report about the incident. We took them to Athi River Hospital for treatment,” Musinga assured.

The woman in question is currently being held at Athi River police station awaiting arraignment.
