Black Market Records tops all music charts with their new releases

Black Market Records is no doubt currently the leading if not the only up to standard record label in Kenya. You can take that to the bank. While some other managements might be trying to put their artists’ out there, Black Market Records doesn’t even have to try for their work speaks for itself.

For instance, just this month alone, Kenyan artists under BMR have released back to back songs that are currently topping charts, not just on YouTube’s trend list but also dominating social media platforms as well as streaming platforms.

Let’s talk about ‘Kuna kuna’, it’s currently everyone’s cup of tea. It’s being played on most radio and TV stations not just in Kenya but across East Africa. And not just that, the song is being played in night clubs, events and parties too. ‘Kuna Kuna’ was trending on social media way before it’s release and from the moment it came out, the fans just can’t have enough of it.

The song was produced by a Black Market Records producer Vic West and it features BMR’s signees Fathermoh and Thee Exit band alongside the super talented Brandy Maina and Sauti Sol’s Savara.

Now we can’t talk about Kuna Kuna without mentioning about ‘Chunli’. On this one, Fathermoh features Khaligraph Jones, Smady Tings from Mbogi genje and Boutross. Everyone brought their A game and of course you know as always Fathermoh delivered on the hook, as it’s super catchy.

If you thought we were done, then think again, since another Black Market Records song making waves right now is ‘Shababisha’ by Rico Gang, featuring the ladies’ man Benzema and Willis Raburu. On this song, we actually get hear Raburu’s flow since we are only used to hearing him hype but this time round he just couldn’t resist. And of course if Vic West Produced it, you know it’s a definite hit.
