Young, Famous & African Season 2 is coming on the 19th of May

Young, Famous & African is a reality TV show that has gained a significant following since its premiere on Netflix in March 2022.

The show features a group of young and wealthy media personalities from Johannesburg, South Africa, as they navigate their careers, personal lives, and sometimes dramatic conflicts.

After much anticipation, Netflix has announced that the second season of Young, Famous & African will be released on May 19, 2023.

The returning cast members for season 2 are Andile Ncube, Annie Macaulay-Idibia, Nadia Nakai, Naked DJ, Zari Hassan, Khanyi Mbau, Swanky Jerry, Kayleigh Schwark, Diamond Platnumz, and 2Baba.

However, there are also rumors of new cast members joining the show, including Bonang Matheba, a South African television presenter and actress; Fantana, a Ghanaian-American Afro-Dancehall musician; Luis Munana, a former Big Brother Africa contestant who now works as a TV producer, writer, and creative director; Sebabatso Mothibi, a model and socialite; and Rosette Ncwana, a supermodel and actress.

One aspect of the show that has caused some controversy is the lack of representation from Kenya, a country that is not represented among the cast members.

While Zari Hassan technically represents Uganda and Diamond Platnumz represents Tanzania, many Kenyans have questioned why there are no wealthy and famous individuals from their country on the show.

It is unclear whether there is a specific criteria that potential cast members must meet or if there simply were no suitable candidates from Kenya.

Despite the controversy, Young, Famous & African has continued to captivate audiences with its engaging and often dramatic storylines.

With the second season set to premiere in just a few weeks, fans of the show are eagerly anticipating the new cast members and the latest developments in the lives of their favorite media personalities.
