Here are our top 15 best songs in Kenya, we could have made a top 10 but it was unrealistic.

Number 1 – GERI INEGI > WAKADINALI FT SIRBWOY
Wakadinali are one of the best groups we have in Kenya right now, and we can confidently say they’ve earned their spot due to their consistency.
The group dropped an album late this year dubbed “Ndani ya cockpit ” and it’s doing pretty well.
This song is our number one since, it has stayed relevant through out the year and people are still jamming to it.

#2 -KUNA KUNA – VIC WEST, FATHERMOH, BRANDY MAINA, SAVARA ANS THEE EXIT BAND
Black Market’s producer Vic west teamed up with Mbuzi gang’s member Fathermoh, Sauti Sol’s Savara, Brandy Maina and Thee Exit band for ‘Kuna Kuna’ which is literally a Kenyan anthem right now.
The song is big on social media, on TV and radio stations and even clubs are constantly playing it.
Within just 2 months of being released, the song has over 8 million views!

#3 – IYANII – FURAHA
Having come out just weeks before Christmas last year, ‘Furaha’ became a big chune in 2022. The song was released shortly after pombe which gave him his big break.
Iyanii has toured and even had a remix of furaha featuring bongo star Harmonize.

#4 – FRESHI BARIDA – STEVO SIMPLE BOY
After calling it it’s quits with his former management, Stevo Simple boy has been working hard.
He has had various songs through out the year but ‘Freshi Barida’ was the biggest due to the catchy phrase.
The song become so big that it had to be remixed. In the remix, Stevo featured South Africa’s Ntoshi Gazi, Mejja and Exray.

# 5 – WOMAN- OTILE BROWN FEATURING HARMONIZE
This was one of those collabs we didn’t even know we needed. But the song went viral as soon as it was out. Both Harmonize and Otile Brown delivered and fans are still loving this song which most people actually think, is called ‘Aisha’

#6- BOUNCE- LEXSIL FEATURING OTILE BROWN
Though not super established, Lexsil made a name for him self not just in Kenya but globally as well after his song ‘Bounce’ went viral.
The song featuring Otile Brown, earned him a number 1 spot on Spotify, and went on to become the most streamed Kenyan song in 2023, after hitting 10 million streams, and even got him a remix of the same with with Tanzania’s Rayvanny.

#7- KISHASH – LIL MAINA FEATURING NDOVI KUU
Lil Maina came to the lime light as a content creator and it was such a suprise when his fans found out that he could actually sing.
Kishash ‘borrowed’ it’s very catchy beat from boasty and went on to become the most requested and played song on radio and TV.
The song was so popular that Lil Maina even threatened to quit music since he had achieved his goal of having a number 1 song!
So far, the song has over 6 million views on YouTube and we guess that wouldn’t have been the case, if Ndovu Kuu didn’t put his verse as well.

#8- WAANJAPI – UNCO JING JONG FEATURING RAPDOKTA & BULLET
Unco Jing Jing become popular in 2022, thanks to Waanjapi featuring Rapdokta and Bullet.
The song was so huge that they had to do a Waanjapi 2.
On the second one, Unco Jing Jong featured breeder Lw, Maandy and Lil Maina and the collab definitely helped the song gain more mileage.

#9- MBONA? – KHALIGRAPH “OG” JONES
The song came out just 6 months ago, and it has over 3 million views on YouTube.
Mbona became a tiktok sensation thanks to its catchy hook.

#10- DAI DAI – FATHERMOH FEATURING SHEKINA KAREN
Fathermoh has had a super successful year in 2022, he’s dropped various projects through out the year, not only with his group Mbuzi Gang, but also individual projects, such as ‘Dai Dai’ featuring Shekina Karen.
The song became super huge on social media and tiktok lovers went crazy with it.
It definitely put Shekina on the map and we can’t wait to see what she does next.

#11- SIPANGWINGWI- EXRAY TANIUA FEATURING TRIO MIO & SSARU
Even though the song came out just two weeks before 2022, it became very popular this year.
‘sipangingwi’ which basically translates to “you can’t finesse me” became a phrase everyone was talking about! And that’s not even all, the now president, William Ruto, while campaigning, adopted the slang and bought the singer Exray Taniu a car.

#12 ADHIAMBO – BAHATI FEATURING PRINCE INDAH
This song definitely had to make it to the list. Even though it came out late 2021, the song got its big break in 2022.
Bahati and prince Indah didn’t expect the song to be as successful as it was, since they’ve gone ahead to collaborate on another new hit dubbed “Abebo”

#13 – TOTO – WILLY PAUL
Love him or hate him, Willy Paul is one artist who has withstood the test of time in the music industry. Even though his career thrives through scandals, we gotta give it to him, the guy is relentless.
Toto was a huge song and become very big on tiktok with most of his fans jumping on the challenge, which we can say contributed to the success of the song.

#14- DIMENSION- FULLY FOCUS FEATURING BIEN
After taking a short haiatus from their group Sauti sol, Bien worked on Dimension with a Kenyan but American based producer and DJ Fully Focus.
The song definitely caught the attention of Kenyans, and even as we wave goodbye to 2022, the song is still a vibe.

#15 – PREE – BURUKLYN BOYS
After releasing ‘Nairobi’, which was super successful, the group also released pree which went on to become viral.
They’ve had a successful year and we bet their 2023 will be just as great since their fans still want more.
