Rapper Kaycyy Receives Grammy Award for Participation On Kanye’s Record

Mark Mbogo alias Kaycyy is a rapper with Kenyan roots who was recently recognized by The Recording Academy for his efforts on Kanye West’s record. According to his Twitter feed on Sunday, August 14, the rapper finally received a certificate from the Grammy’s.

The certificate was addressed to the rapper awarding him for his contribution to the Grammy-winning song Hurricane which had American rapper Kanye West featuring The Weekend and Lil Baby.

Kaycyy was listed as one of the writers on the song and when it won an award as the best melodic rap song at the Academy Awards, all the credits on it had to be awarded.

Kaycyy joins Sautisol as one of the artists with Kenyan roots to be awarded by the Academy.
