Oparanya Defends Himself Against Endorsing Malala
Outgoing Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya is a man under scrutiny this morning. The Governor has woken up to his name trending all over social media. In a post that appeared on his Facebook timeline on Monday, August 29, the governor is seen endorsing Cleophas Malala.
The post was made early in the morning with the governor coming out later to defend himself against the allegations that he was responsible.
Oparanya claimed that he had been hacked and that the post made about him supporting Cleophas Malala were fake. He claimed that he does not know the origin of the post.
Kenyans on Twitter including rival politicians enjoyed the confusion and told the governor to admit that he was now playing for the Kenya Kwanza brigade. He was asked not to defend himself by using the lame excuse that he had been hacked.
The Kakamega and Mombasa Governor’s elections are going on at the moment with Cleophas Malala going up against Fernandes Barasa while Abdulswamad Nassir faces Samir Sarai respectively.
