Exray Taniua song “Sipangwingwi” on Boomplay most streamed song chart
2022 has with no doubt been a great year especially for Black Market Records, since the label comfortably put out most of Kenya’s hits.
One of the most notable songs of the year was ‘Sipangwingwi’ by Exray Taniua featuring Trio Mio and Ssaru, which became a house hold phrase. The song was used by the Kenya’s current president during his campaigns.
Fast forward to December 2022 and the song is now officially on boomplay’s top music charts as one of the most streamed songs of the year. For those who still didn’t get the meaning behind Sipangwingwi, it basically translates to, ‘I cannot not be finessed’. The singer talks about how he’s opposed to being taken for a fool.
He goes further to tell people to mind their own business and leave him alone since he likes his life the way it is. The slogan has been around and still is, the Black Market Records signee, Exray, has not left his rightful position in the music industry.
