EP Review: Hakuna Plan B by Amir

EP Review: Hakuna Plan B by Amir

The much anticipated EP Hakuna Plan B by Amir finally dropped on Friday, August 5. The EP is a mixture of soul and hardcore bars too.

From the first track, Blame Me, you can feel the energy and feeling in Amir’s voice. He expresses himself fully in the song and captivates the audience with his smooth vocals and rhymes.

The second track, Smile, has the rapper recruiting GJB100 and singer Iminza. The three gel perfectly on the track making it one of the standouts on the EP.

GJB100 makes the song sound amazing with his vocals and Iminza just adds more flavor to the already exciting song. This is one of the best collabos on the EP.

Unatesa comes at number three and it changes the whole feeling of the EP. Amir goes full dancehall with a Kapuka beat that s very surprising for most people who will listen to the EP. Unatesa is a change from what we know as a soulful feel from the rapper.

The title track Hakuna Plan B, returns the rappers character into the EP. Amir comes in with a hardcore rap beat and flows on it effortlessly. He then infuses his mind-blowing vocals. The song talks about his ambition of sticking with his original dreams. There’s no plan B!

The last track is a political one. Nimechoka speaks about the state of the nation especially in this electioneering year. The rapper goes in hard and expresses his disappointment at what he calls bad governance.

The project is produced at Zili One studios and is currently streaming on Audiomack here
