Anita Raey Replaces Kwambox at Vybez Radio

The radio presenters transfer window continues to see more movements as long-time radio fanatic and popular presenter Anita Raey makes a comeback. According to social media reports on Monday, January 23, the former Hot 96 radio presenter will be back on the microphone soon.

Initial reports suggest that she will be taking the vacant position left by Kwambox at Standard Media-owned Vybez Radio. The morning show slot has been left open after her exit and Anita Raey seems to be the chose fit to replace her.

Anita has been out of radio for a while after her bitter exit from Royal Media’s Hot 96 a few years back. She has been out of a job ever since but has always expressed interest in returning to her favorite radio gig.

The budding presenter is a favorite for many especially the adult radio fans. She appeals to them in the numerous topics that she coins to fit that particular audience. Anita has a way with words and the confidence that has sometimes attracted so much controversy.

This comeback into radio is a result of a shakeup that started at Radio Africa. Kamene Goro of the morning show at Kiss 100 is set to leave the station after two years. This in turn has already prepared Kwambox to take over from her.

There were rumors that Standard was closing down some of it’s radio stations with Vybez mentioned as one. This new development however assures the reggae fanbase that there is light at the end of the blunt. Nobody can stop reggae it seems.
