Rayvanny To Pay An Extra Ksh2.5 Million For Breaching Contract
Former Wasafi signee Rayvanny has been slapped with an extra fine of Ksh2.5 million for what is being reported as a breach of contract. According to multiple reports on Wednesday, August 3, the singer is required to pay the amount back to his mother company Wasafi.
Rayvanny has been ordered to pay the amount before he can be allowed to perform at any show in the country.
The singer will now be forced to pay Tsh50 million more for performing at Nandy’s concert last month. That meant he breached the contract for not terminating it first.
Diamond, the CEO of Wasafi, responded to questions that inquired about why artists were leaving the stable.
He stated that their role was to transform artists from mere singers and performers and turn them into businesses.
“That is why artistes signed under Wasafi become big artistes. Some of them after we have done that, now want to take it from us by force. They want to be given the whole amount of money they get while working under Wasafi.”
Diamond noted that artists were supposed to stick to the contractual agreement they had signed in the first place.
