Comedian Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o has won the Lang’ata Member of Parliament seat. According to a concession made by former MP Nixon Korir on Wednesday, August 10, Jalang’o is now the new MP for the constituency.

“To the people of Langata, I sincerely thank you for according me an opportunity to be your Member of Parliament for the last 5 years. Its been a great opportunity that gave me an avenue to contribute to our nation building and service to the people. From the results that we’ve tallied at the Generali centre, my competitor Jalango has a lead and I want to congratulate his as he prepares to take the mantle and move Langata forward. Siasa si chuki. God bless Langata,” Korir wrote.

Jalang’o had a back up plan in case he failed to clinch the Langata seat. He had agreed with his former employer that he would get his job back if he did not succeed.

“My boss has made me sign a contract that in case I do not win… I should not even apply for the job, I simply walk back and start working,” Jalang’o said in a past interview.
