Babu Owino Threatens Other Presidents Against Congratulating Ruto

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino is not one to hold back his words. On Tuesday, August 16, the MP threatened leaders who were sending congratulatory messages to president-elect William Ruto.

Via his instagram account, the former University of Nairobi Students Union president said that there were people who were misguided about the elections.

“I want to take this opportunity to warn International media, international observers, and to warn some presidents who have taken their time to congratulate Ruto over his election,” Owino stated.

Owino warned that Kenya was a sovereign state and would not bow down to mediocrity being peddled by the IEBC.

Babu was commenting on the results of the elections that were announced yesterday by IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati declaring William Ruto as the president-elect.

Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga also came out later today evening to say that he considered the results given out by Wafula Chebukati to be null and void.
