Mombasa is known for being among the pioneers of hip hop music ,it doesn’t matter with the era , Mombasa and the wider coastal region flourishes in the genre.

Having produced greats such as Canibal, Sharma, Ukoo Flani, Kaa La Moto, Nadi, Jay A  the city has again found itself on the limelight with the new era rappers  who include the terrific duo double trouble, and Vtrap who have passed through the hands of legendary coast producer PMG.

His first rap joint is scheduled for release this month and its safe to assume with the freestyles battles that iv seen of him,Vtrap has not come to play.

Our focus today shifts to V trap who as fore mentioned is leading the new school rap wave,he describes always having a love for hip hop since his childhood days and would sway in to conscious rap which is  after getting inspirations from Kendrick Lamar & Jcole. H e would however find his sound gravitating towards trap music where he has since stuck.

VTrap goes on to add that  he has recorded over six tracks , with some features as well. additionally  Vtrap states that he will release an EP dubbed Round 2 which symbolizes his second attempt in claiming the coastal rap throne. Backed by his producer PMG , the two are a hot duo who do not seem to outshine each other on their projects rather they compliment each other.
